L+A are the sweetest, most down-to-earth couple. They let me document some quiet moments together for their in home maternity session in Rochester NY. They read baby books in bed together and cozied up talking gently to their baby. To be honest, I got somewhat emotional watching these moments unfold, and felt so much gratitude that I was able to witness something so sweet and so intimate between two people about to become parents for the first time.

Across the hall, the nursery was still being painted and put together. Paint cans, brushes, and supplies lay on the floor in the empty room. The most beautiful January sunlight poured in through the windows as they sat on the floor of the nursery. The resulting photos are some of my favorite that I’ve ever taken.
